Then I said to them, “You see the bad situation we are in, that Jerusalem is desolate and its gates burned by fire. Come, let us rebuild the wall of Jerusalem so that we will no longer be a reproach.” -Nehemiah 2:17

Why Not Pray?

A call to pray!

Do you ever ask why should I pray? Or what’s the point of praying?

“but God has surely listened and has heard my prayer.” Psalm 66:19 NIV

“as you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many.” Corinthians 1:11 NIV

“Praise be to God, who has not rejected my prayer or withheld his love from me!”Psalm 66:20 NIV

“If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.” Matthew 21:22 NIV

“I call on you, my God, for you will answer me; turn your ear to me and hear my prayer.” Psalm 17:6 NIV

“My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message,” John 17:20 NIV

“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” Mark 11:24 NIV

After reading just a few of the plethora of scriptures on prayer the only question I have is, “WHY NOT PRAY?”

I challenge us this week to spend time with God in prayer and join Him in changing lives, especially ours!!!

Have a great week and  be a blessing, love ya.

Pastor Eddie
